Screw a guy from his pension

July 12, 2004 by Bob Christensen

The very first jury trial I ever had resulted in a million dollar verdict in my client’s favor.

My client was a business owner that had contributed into a union pension plan throughout his career as an owner-operator of a trucking company. The union claimed he was not entitled to any pension because he was a business owner.

The irony was that he was forced to join the union because he performed union duties, but they refused to give his a pension and offered to refund his contributions. He got his due.
