A Father’s Day Message
June 19, 2005 by Bob Christensen
A father is someone that sets an example, is courageous, fair and not ever afraid to cry or say he is sorry.
Are we becoming too comfortable with the abusive father model in our national affairs? What example are we setting for the free world? Are we allowed for the first time to become nation builders? Is it fair to be accused of being non-supportive of our troops to want them home NOW when they were sent to battle under false pretenses and it is the only way to stop the bloodshed of our young men and women?
Let us support our troops by bringing them home and paying our soldiers the benefits they deserve. Let our leaders tell these men and women they are sorry. It would be nice to apologize to the country as well.
