I just got back from another journey to my friend Bill Dunkley’s near Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. The purpose for the trip is an annual get together for the Minnesota Deer Hunting Opener.

Bill has established a tradition of fun, hunting and friendship that everyone looks forward to each year. Some that come are lawyers and some are real normal people, or at least carry on a better facade of normalcy than most lawyers. All that come do share and feast on the splendor that is the Minnesota outdoors.

In the quiet of the forest there is time to reflect on the wonder of the woods. It is magnificent even when quiet and seemingly sleeping. There is an order and place for every piece of this creation. It has become a spiritual place for me. Thank you Bill for allowing me to be there and thank you to all those that fight to keep our land, water and air safe and beautiful.
