With the guilty plea last week from Jack Abramoff we are now facing weeks if not years of press coverage of corruption, payoffs and lies of our elected representatives. Is this unexpected in light of what we have experienced in recent years from politicians of all political parties?

Do we really expect that real change will come in this country from our elected officials who march to office singing “I owe, I owe”? How do we effect real change in this country within the electoral process?

How about real people that want to leave this world a better place start talking, writing, inventing, formulating, digesting, synthesizing and creating the ideas that will shape the next generation? We can do it. It won’t be coming from our elected officials, for sure.
