I try to read and watch the news. I read online articles and various publications. It is tough to remember the claims and details of all the articles so I find myself editorializing and summarizing information oftentimes without being able to cite the specific facts or source of information. I acknowlege that these are my beliefs or understandings. By doing so, I hope to encourage discussion and discourse.

Encouraging discussion and discourse is a good thing. Encouraging investigation into facts is a good thing. We are strong as a nation because we read, we talk, we learn and listen. And we should never be so proud so as not to listen and learn from our mistakes.

Tomorrow we will hear from our President about the State of the Union. I am going to be listening and learning. I probably will be talking about it. That’s what we should be doing in a free country.
