Jesse Ventura to Run for Senate?

July 12, 2008 by Bob Christensen

What qualifies anyone to run for office??? In today’s political playing field, it is money and access to money.  That is what makes Jesse’s interest in office again interesting.  He is going to leverage anti-power grabbing money controlling elections sentiments and sell it because he can.  I think that his message will resonate with those without a voice and are angry at politics as usual.

Many people feel disenfranchised in this country.  It is a feeling of hopelessness at times.  We can be so disconnected from decision-making.  Career politicians seem to know better than the common person.

I think he has hit on something. Most people have no trust in their elected officials.  To get elected at at state-wide or national level our representatives owe, they owe, they owe.  Each day we read about deals that our elected officials are making with government contractors and drug companies that cost the taxpayers billions of dollars each year in overpayments by the government.  At least the Attorneys Against Government Fraud are doing something about it as we now have brought six false claims cases against corporations around the country. For more information check out www. false-claims-act.com.

I do not mean to suggest that Jesse is the best we can put up by any means.  As I have said many times, we should draft our represenatives from the best and the brightest and have them serve term limits. Just my .02.

Motorcycle Accidents Are On the Rise

July 12, 2008 by Bob Christensen

Right now we are handling several catestrophic injury cases involving motorcycle accidents.  In none of these cases was the motorcycle driver at fault.  Car drivers just don’t see them.  We all need to do a better job on the roads today with more and more motorcycles and bikes sharing the roadway to commute as well as recreate.

If you know anyone injured in a motorcycle accident have them call us.  We have handled numerous death and injury cases as well as product liability cases involving defective helmets.  Reconstruction of these accidents as soon as possible is critical as it is common that police and troopers assume fault on the motorcycle driver.  I guess that is because they remember the one unsafe idiot and forget the thousands of responsible riders.

Please remember to wear your helmet, leather clothing and good shoes. Please.
