Defective Drug and Medical Devices

In addition to Vioxx cases, we are looking into pursuing Medronic Spint Fidelis ICD defective lead cases. An ICD is an implantable cardioverter defibrillator that is tucked inside the chest and is used to shock the heart back into rhythm if it goes into sudden cardiac arrest. Medtronic recently took its Sprint Fidelis lead of the market because it may fracture in the body. It is reported that 235,000 patients worldwide have been implanted with this lead.

If you or someone close to you has received this lead, it is imperative that they contact their medical provider and consult with an experienced product liability attorney. If you have any questions, please contact us.

We are also pursuing a case on behalf of a woman that was taking Advil developed a condition known as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. In Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, there is blistering of mucous membranes, typically in the mouth or eyes. In toxic epidermal necrolysis, which is a more serious complication there is also blistering of mucous membranes, and the layer of the peron’s skin peels off in sheets from large areas of the body. Both disorders are life threatening or can be permanently disabling. These horrible reactions to drugs are known by the drug companies and many choose to market their drugs without measures to insure their safety.

If you or someone close to you has developed Stevens-Johnson Syndrome you should consult with an experienced product liability attorney. If you have any questions, please contact us at 952-925-4147.

Vioxx

rofecoxib model

The dangerous anti-inflammatory drug Vioxx (generic name Rofecoxib) was withdrawn from the US market on September 30, 2004 by Merck and Co. Along with my partners at False-Claims-Act.com, I have successfully taken on large corporate intersets such as the ones invlolved here.

If you or a family member have suffered cardiovascular problems, heart attack, or stroke after taking Vioxx, contact me to discuss whether you may be entitled to compensation.

It now appears that Merck will be stepping up to the plate and has agreed to pay 4.85 billion dollars to settle the stroke and heart attack cases. We continue to represent those injured by defective drugs and products.
